About Us

About Human Offline

Two nerds. One newsroom. We cover the technology that’s rewriting the world and probably taking all our jobs.

What We Do

Human Offline is a technology publication built by two writers hopelessly obsessed with the future. We write about AI, vibe coding, autonomous systems, robotics, and the broader evolution of technology. Our approach combines rigorous editing with genuine curiosity about what’s coming next.

No editorial board. No corporate agenda. Just honest analysis of the technology that matters.

What We Cover

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning – from AI consciousness debates to practical agent systems
  • Autonomous Systems and Robotics – how machines are becoming genuinely autonomous
  • Decentralized Technology – blockchain, Web3, and alternative architectures
  • Vibe Coding and Developer Culture – how AI tools are changing who can build software
  • Future of Work – what happens when autonomous systems reshape entire industries
  • AI Safety and Alignment – the critical challenges nobody’s talking about enough

Our Philosophy

We believe complex technology should be explained plainly. We care as much about how something works as why it matters. We write news when it matters, guides when they’re useful, and deep dives into territory nobody else has explored yet.

Meet the Founders

António Madeira

Co-founder and Writer

António discovered cryptocurrency in 2015 and has been exploring distributed systems ever since. He started at CryptoCompare, a scrappy data startup, and worked through nearly every role: writer, head of content, head of advertising.

What kept him wasn’t the price charts. It was the architecture underneath: how systems work, what incentives drive them, how you build trust without a middleman. He developed a rare ability to explain complex infrastructure in plain language, which he brought to publications including Cointelegraph, CryptoSlate, Bitcoinist, CryptoGlobe, and NonFungible.com.

His obsession has since expanded outward. Web3 led him to AI agents. AI agents led him to autonomous systems. And autonomous systems have led him somewhere most people haven’t caught up to yet. At Human Offline, he writes about the technology underpinning the next decade (not the hype, but the actual gears).

Nuno Teodoro

Co-founder and Editor

Nuno spent years as a ghostwriter before becoming a full-time editor, growing alongside the Web3 industry for nearly a decade. Passionate about writing, technology, and internet culture, he’s spent years immersed in online communities and emerging technologies.

His background spans editorial leadership, social media strategy, and Web3 security. He’s built a reputation for creative problem solving, sharp writing, and editorial judgment that catches what others miss. He believes good tech journalism is one of the few things that can slow people down long enough to actually understand what’s happening to the world.

When he’s not writing, he’s usually dealing with the consequences of years spent online with pronounced tech neck and overthinking.

Why We Started Human Offline

The technology landscape moves faster than journalism can follow. Most coverage is either breathless hype or doom-laden predictions. Meanwhile, the actual interesting stuff gets buried under noise.

We built Human Offline to be the publication we wanted to read. A place for people who geek out about technology’s future but want real analysis, not marketing. A fellowship for people who care about getting it right.
